The Health Ministry has advised the public to take further action with regard to medical insurance violations and administrative fines, with penalties of up to Dh20,000.
These new regulations that include 43 possible violations are in line with providing better services that include all members of society.
The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office announced that "the administrative violations and fines imposed on companies and employers reflect the government's desire to provide integrated and continuous health care services to all segments of society and guarantee the rights of all the parts".
The following are the most prominent offenses:
1,000 dirham fine:
For the employer who refuses to cover the cost of health services or emergency medical services for the employees who are allegedly subject to the employer's health insurance, but they (the employer) have not provided them (the employer) with coverage valid health insurance.
5,000 dirhams fine:
Allowing a person other than the policyholder to use the health insurance policy
20,000 dirhams fine:
For an insurance company or third party official (TPA) that fails to pay or delays payment of an amount owed for health care services as mentioned in the contract signed by the insurance company / TPA with the health care provider.
